Sylvia studied drama at Loyola College/Concordia University in Montreal,
Quebec and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
In Montreal and Toronto, she appeared in many community and semi-
professional shows, as well as summer stock, television and independent films,
before becoming a stage manager.
One of her favourite gigs (ever!) was working with ‘The Chumps’ (an improv
group) at their venue, BIG CITY IMPROV, on Queen Street West, in Toronto.
She has worked (as an Apprentice, Assistant and Stage Manager) with most of
the theatres in Winnipeg (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, the Tom Hendry
Warehouse (RMTC), Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, Red Roots Theatre, Theatre
Projects Manitoba, and Manitoba Opera, as well as Prairie Theatre Exchange,
shows at the University of Winnipeg and tours with Magnus Theatre, out of
Thunder Bay.
She lives with her husband and mini-schnauzers in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
